Epiphone S 800 : An Update

Power - strat by Epiphone, the headstock shape indicates 1986 or 1987 but there's no serial number to be found.

Alder body with maple neck and rosewood fingerboard.
Locking nut with epiphone tremolo, sadly I haven't got the original arm, so i fixed the bridge.

Three on / off switches for the pickups, one volume and one tone.

I installed three awsome Häussel pickups:

  • CTK-A Rail Humbucker Neck
  • Single Coil Blues Middle
  • Vin-B Alnico 2 Humbucker Bridge

  • Tuning is a half step below standard, with D'Addario Super Light Plus strings.

Here's a pic from the original post:

Aria Pro II PE - Series: An Update

An odd one for sure, I'm still searching for information.

The only thing I know is that it was made in Korea, after Aria left their production in Japan, which happend in the 90'ies.
The serial number would indicate 1999 as production year not those numbers are not very reliable.

The PE - series were the Les Paul - kind guitars but this one is equipped like a strat with three pickups and a vintage style vibrato.

I recently put two rail humbuckers and a rail single coil in, here are some pics from my original post:

Tuning is an open D variant, often referred to as "Zen guitar tuning": D-A-D-a-a-d.

    Finally Flying

Equipped with a licensed Flyod Rose system and an EMG ALX - F Alexi Laiho Signature Set.

    Standard tuning D'Addario ECG23 chromes (.010 / .014 / .020w / .028 / 0.38 / .048)

Epiphone SG G-310 - Black and Metal

Built 1999 by Samick in Korea, this is quite a Homecoming for me.
Thanks to Uncle Rege for giving me the opportunity to meet her again.

Lots of history behind this one and very fond memories.

I did a complete overhaul and now she's got new life injected into her.

Two Dean Michael Amott "Tyrant" Signature pickups make her scream and moan.

    Lovely.

    Skyripper Fuzz

Skyripper Fuzz with EHX Double Muff in the Loop.
Built by "Goldenratio", original circuit by "ninevoltnirvana".

Just some random notes played through a humbucker guitar to showcase the sound effects you might achieve.
